Trauma

We all have it… more or less… small Ts, bigger Ts, some major Ts

Many of us have attachment wounds and relational trauma from childhood, many have experienced chronic stress, depression, anxiety or just are not feeling good. Just imagine how would it feel if you could live a life to your full potential, in harmony with your body, mind, spirit … and relate to others with love and compassion.

There are many healing modalities (from somatic to spiritual), such as TaiChi, Chi Gong, Feldenkreis, Somatics, Hakomi, Focusing, SP/SE, AEDP, NARM, EMDR, Brainspotting, ISTDP, CBT, CAT, DBT, MBSR, ACT, EFT (both), TFT, TAT, Mindsight, TM and a beautiful plethora of traditional spiritual paths and practices, incl. advaita, kirtan kriya, zen buddhism, mysticism…. I like most the Somatic IFS (as developed by Susan McConnell) in combination with Compassionate Enquiry (as developed by Gabor Mate). I also believe that we have been all impacted and burdened by various forms of transgenerational/ cultural/ societal trauma (as shown by several epigenetics research studies) that can be reversed and healed (recent research in neuroscience and memory reconsolidation studies).

A short clip (just over 2 min) on transgenerational trauma is here. Watch more of Gabor Maté (over an hour)  on The Connection Between Stress and Disease and here.

”I will not rescue you. For you are not powerless.

I will not fix you. For you are not broken.

I will not heal you. For I see you, in your wholeness.

I will walk with you through the darkness as you remember your light.”
